Doughnuts, also known as donuts, are a delicious breakfast, snack or dessert. Whether sprinkled with powdered sugar or dipped in chocolate, they are a delight.

Ingredients:

  • 3 and ½ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 30 grams of butter
  • 15 grams of yeast
  • 150 cc. Milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • oil for frying
  • Coating and/or powdered sugar

Preparation:

  1. First sift the flour with the salt and put it in a bowl. Make a well in the center and add the baking powder, sugar, milk and softened butter. Add the eggs, mix well and form a nice ball of dough with your hands, knead until all the ingredients are well combined.
  2. Let the dough rise in the bowl, covered and in a warm place, until it doubles in size. After this time, about 2 hours, take the dough and flatten it completely with your fingers. Cut the dough into about 20 equal pieces and let them rest for another 30 minutes.
  3. Then take a piece of dough, form a kind of thick thread, form a circle, join the ends well and the doughnut is ready. Repeat this step with all the pieces of dough. Heat abundant oil, when it is very hot, fry the pancakes. When they are golden brown, about 8 minutes, remove them from the oil and place them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  4. Now you can sprinkle them with powdered sugar or cover them with chocolate and candies.
