This pie is delicious, the filling is great because it has hake, sautéed onions in oil and several types of cheeses, the dough is very tasty and easy to make.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 1 and 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 and 1/2 cups of corn starch
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 90 grams of butter
- 1 egg yolk
- 3/4 cups of warm water
- Egg for painting
For the filling:
- 450 grams of hake
- 4 green onions
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of oil
- 150 grams of cream cheese
- 4 tablespoons of grated cheese
- 100 grams of mozzarella cheese in cubes
Preparation:
- Start by boiling the hake in water and salt, until it is cooked. Then shred and set aside. Chop the green onions and sauté them in a pan with oil. In a bowl mix the fish with the cream cheese, grated cheese and diced mozzarella, stir well. Add the sautéed onions to this preparation, mix and set aside.
- For the dough, sift the corn starch with the flour, baking powder and salt, place everything in a bowl. Add 70 grams of the butter, the egg yolk and the warm water. Mix well until a homogeneous dough is formed. Knead the dough lightly and stretch it as thin as possible. Melt the rest of the butter and brush half of the dough, sprinkle with a little flour and fold the dough over itself. Roll it out again. Repeat this operation two more times.
- Now stretch the dough very thin, and cut it into two equal parts. Place one of the doughs in a baking pan, previously greased with oil, and place the filling on this dough. Place the other dough on top of the filling and make an overlap to close the pie. Brush with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 180° for about 15 minutes.
