What delicious rolls, with a soft and easy to make dough and the filling with a mixture of cooked ham and mustard. Delicious. Ideal for children’s and adults’ birthdays. Something different and super tasty.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 75 grams of cold butter
- 1 egg
- ½ cup milk
For the filling:
- 60 grams of white butter
- 150 grams of cooked ham
- 2 tablespoons of mustard
Preparation:
- Start by sifting all the dry ingredients together, i.e. flour, baking powder and salt. Then add the cold butter, melting it well with the help of a fork or with your fingers if you dare. On the other hand, mix the egg with the milk, stir lightly and add it to the previous preparation until a soft and smooth dough is formed.
- Stretch the dough with a rolling pin or rolling pin, until you get a rectangle of 40 by 20 cm. approximately. Now divide it into 2 strips of 40 by 10 cm each and set aside.
- For the filling, mix the finely chopped ham with the mustard and butter. Place the stuffing on both 40 by 10 cm strips lengthwise. Now start rolling the strips on the longer side. Then take the roll and cut slices about 2 cm thick. Place them on a buttered baking sheet and brush the rolls with beaten egg. Bake in a hot oven (220°) for 15 to 20 minutes.
